On April 23, the FCFF had there monthly fight night at the Roseland. And I had the chance to interview some of the fighters. So it is time to RUMBLE!!!!!!!!!!!
To start the night off it was Stephone Taylor VS Patrich Ryen. Patrick Ryen would win after Stephon did not meet the bell because of a foot injury. The Next fight would be Shawn Smith and Dean Walters. Dean Walters would win with a rear naked choke in the third round. I had the chance to talk to Dean and here's what went down.
"Great win tonight, Are hoping to go for the Belt?"
"It will be down the road I will like to go for a title it would be a little while for I just got back to getting in fit."
"How long has been since you have fought?"
"It has been five years."
I hope to see him again at the Roseland. The next fight toke place in the 145 weight and it was Coby Barns VS Kevin Walker. Kevin Walker would win in a 25 SEC tapout in the first round. The next fight would be Sean Soliz VS Zane Behrend. By split decision Sean Soliz would win I had the chance to talk to him after words.
"Great fight tonight. In the second round you started throwing some punches explain what happen."
"Well when I got on bottom he was tying up my wrist I could not do much I thought I would come out and try a little stand up type in the second and see if I could have any luck on my feet."
That would end it for me and Sean and I know he will be back. I will make this short the other winners of tonight were Billy Denney, Nathan Sarate, Kyle Ellsworth, Jesse Apodaca, Bryne Torres, and last Zac Miller.
But what was the fight of the night was a super heavey weight battle between Josh"Big Country"McPherson and Ryan Harrington. There is a weight difference between these two fighters. Big Country is coming up from the heavy weight to the super weight. And I knew from the beginning that Ryan had this won. Ryan weighs at a weight that Josh could not bring down. But Josh to my surprise held in till the final bell. At the end it came down to a unanimous decsion Ryan Harrington is your new FCFF Super Heavey Weight CHAMPION!
Next fight night for the FCFF is on May 21 I will have more for that night later. I am Jacob singing out. Until next time fight fans this is IN THE OCTAGON!

Sorry about the wait.
Sorry fans about the wait. But lets jump in to it! THIS IS IN THE OCTAGON!! In downtown Portland was the Rumble at the Roseland 55 and I got to see it. There were three belt fights that night and I got to see them lets see how they did. To start off the title fights that night were the Fly weight Championship between Shuan Nance and John Heilman. Shuan Nance would beat John in a TKO in the second round by strikes to the gut and ribs. Shuan Nance was declared the winner of the Fly wieght Belt that night. The next Belt fight was Jeremy Jones against Chris Perrin. Chris would take Jeremy down and that would end right there. Jeremy would tap, after Chris got a anaconda choke hold on him. And the fight of the night was for the Light weight belt between Jake Morris and Clint Patterson. Jakes weight would be over the weight requirement, so if Jake won he would not get the belt but if Clint won he would get the belt. I will say this now it was over from the begining. I think for Jake, who brang his "A" game to the fight, showed great potentional. It came down to the final descion and the winner is........... Jake Morris! That would end the night. Now my fight of the night would be the fourth fight of the night when Josh McPherson, who is known to start the fight off with the kick to the head, would go up against Nick Butler. In only six seconds it was over with a left leg hook. Josh would knock Jake out in only six seconds. That is my fight of the night. Next blog will come to you next week. See you then.

Welcome.
My name is Jacob Wolbaum and well this is ITO also known as "In the Octagon.". I am starting this blog for the MMA fans and the UFC fans that are in the PDX Area. This blog will be posted every Friday but for today it will be on Wednesday.
The big next fight for the UFC is on the 22 of the January. It is the "Fight for the troops." The main fight for that night will be Even Dunham VS Melvin Guillard. My pick for the match up will be the rookie (Compared to Melvine) Even Dunham. I think that Even is a young fighter that has a better chance at beating the 44-9-3 Melvin Guillard. Even is a inch taller but weights in the same at 155 each. The match will be a great one so lets hope that Even will win.
